Calzone is essentially a folded pizza pocket. It’s made by rolling out pizza dough, adding cooked ground meat, vegetables (such as bell peppers and olives), and cheese (usually mozzarella and cottage cheese). The filling is then folded and sealed, creating a half-moon shape. Calzones are typically baked in the oven until golden and crispy. They’re a delicious alternative to traditional flat pizzas, offering a portable and convenient way to enjoy pizza flavors.
